Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Casing Assist ("we", "us") for your use of the Casing Assist app and website. By using Casing Assist, you agree to them.

What Casing Assist does

Casing Assist helps you find the right cell for a piece of mail by reading its address and showing the matching cell on a drawing of your case. It's an aid. You remain responsible for where each piece goes, and you should check anything that looks wrong.

Your employer's rules

Casing Assist is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Postal Service. Before using a personal phone at work, make sure it's allowed by your office and your employer's rules, and follow them, including any rules about photographing equipment or mail.

Your account

You need to be 18 or older to create an account. Keep your sign-in secure and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity on it.

Subscriptions and free trials

• Plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• If a free trial is offered, you won't be charged if you cancel before it ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.

Invites and free months

• When a carrier joins with your invite, they get a 30-day free trial instead of 14 days.
• Once they stay subscribed for 2 paid months after their trial (or make their first yearly payment), you get 1 free month, or 3 free months if they're the first Casing Assist user at their post office.
• The first person to set up a route at a post office gets 1 free month after their first payment.
• Rewards that depend on the post office need the case to match the route that was picked. We may review a reward before it's added.
• You can earn up to 12 free months a year. Free months are added to your subscription; they have no cash value and can't be transferred. If you subscribe through the App Store, free months are added by moving your renewal date, which Apple allows up to 3 months at a time and twice a year; any free months beyond that are added once Apple allows the next one.
• We may change or end the invite offer for new invites. A reward already earned is kept. Rewards earned through fake accounts, inviting yourself or other abuse are void.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no uploading photos that aren't of your case, and no using it to collect information about people on a route for any purpose other than casing mail.

Your content

You keep any rights you have in the photos you upload. You give us permission to use them to build, check and improve the case for your route, and to provide that case to other carriers who set up the same route, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Casing Assist accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We may change or improve features over time. If we make a significant change to these terms, we'll tell you in the app.

Disclaimers and limits

Casing Assist is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not responsible for missorted mail, missed deliveries or decisions made using the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using Casing Assist and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

If you got the app from Apple's App Store

• These terms are between you and Casing Assist, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app doesn't meet a warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Apple is not responsible for any claims about the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims. We are, as described in these terms.
• If someone claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and handling that claim.
• You confirm that you're not in a country under a U.S. government embargo and not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must also follow the App Store's usage rules.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
